Big Chill Wisconsin Stat Snow Sculpting Competition
In honor of Racine Reads, this sculpture was created downtown as part of the preparations for the Big Chill Wisconsin State Snow Sculpting Competition this weekend. The design features images of a cat, snail, ant and a pencil — all taken from the books students will begin reading Monday for the One Book, One Grade, One Community reading event.
Cops ‘n Kids Book Giveaway
The annual Cops ‘n Kids Book Giveaway will be held on December 3, 2011 from 9am – 1pm. Booker the Owl will be there to meet and greet students. Police and fire officers will be on hand to read to children with these books counting towards the Racine Reads grand total.
